Coffee beans must meet strict SCA requirements for uniformity and absence of defects to earn the "specialty" designation. Additionally, the coffee produced from these beans must earn a minimum "cupping score" of 80 on a scale of 1-100. Cupping scores are determined by experienced "tasters" prior to export. Only about 5% of the coffee consumed in America is specialty grade. Best frother due to triple coils on frother tip!

The description of the Tornado Milk Frother on the website is 100% accurate. The Tornado frother comes with advice on frothing that I will reiterate as follows.

I would like to add that mylks (made from nuts, grains, or beans, but not animal-based) have separate frothing instructions depending on the mylk and the temperature of the mylk at the time of frothing.

Cold almond, oat, soy, and pea mylks froth well with high fat content.

Warm almond, oat, or coconut mylks froth well, whereas rice, cashew and walnut mylks produce less foam.

Hot (140-155 degrees F) oat, coconut, soy, almond, pistachio, macadamia mylks need to be experimented with because some brands froth better than others.

In each case above an illustration gives you an idea of how much froth is produced. A recommendation from the manufacturer is to fill your frothing pitcher 1/4 full.

I have also experimented with non-dairy and dairy creamers with great success. Such creamers when hot produce enough foam to fill the frothing pitcher about half full with foam, and the remainder is creamer at the bottom of the pitcher.

I have used coiled frothers in the past, but never a triple coil frother until now. It is the triple coils that make this frother so effective.

I highly recommend the Tornado frother because of its versatility with all types of mylks, as well as animal-based creamers and milk.

Blue Skies Forever!

I’ve been enjoying Fabulous Bean Coffee Co. products for well over a year now and the Blue Skies roast was one of my favorites. I can now say it has definitely moved up a notch with the “new and improved “ flavor. It’s a tad smoother while still a full flavored lighter roast!

A “Burr-fect” Grinder

I heard years ago that burr grinders were superior to blades when it comes to enjoying the full flavor of coffee. I can now definitely agree with that claim thanks to this manual burr grinder. It’s very solidly made and easy to use making it more of an “organic” experience in preparing our coffee! The Sailors Roast I ground was definitely a tad more bold and full bodied flavor that my previously bladed grinder produced.

Pleasing Aroma

The BEST. I grind it myself, and that aroma just sets me free. It reminds me of that fresh ground goodness we used to experience after mother would take us grocery shopping at A&P or Grand Union.
